SAS Analytics Platform Has Been Deprecated

The SAS Analytics Platform has been deprecated, and SAS Model Manager now supports deployment to Web application servers that are supported in SAS 9.3. Additional functionality that was previously provided by the SAS Analytics Platform is now provided by the SAS Web Infrastructure Platform.

Configurations for Java Web Start

The Java Web Start client can be used to access the SAS Model Manager 3.1 application using a URL. A default host deployment option is configured during the deployment of SAS Model Manager 3.1 on SAS 9.3. After installation, a SAS administrator can make additional configurations for the Java Web Start client to enable access to the configured SAS environments file.

Configuration of the Dashboard Reports Directory

The SAS Model Manager Dashboard Reports directory is now configured with a default location during installation. If you want to change the location to use a network drive or another location, you can configure the dashboard reports directory using SAS Management Console. Information about how to configure a dashboard reports directory is included in the guide.

Configurations to Use SAS Workflow

The Workflow Console for SAS Model Manager has been added to manage the workflow processes that are associated with modeling projects and versions. The SAS Workflow Studio client application is used to design and deploy workflow process definitions. Configurations are required to use SAS Workflow with SAS Model Manager.

Configurations to Prepare a Database for Use Have Been Moved

When the SAS Model Manager In-Database Scoring Scripts product is part of your SAS 9.3 deployment, post-installation configurations are required. The configuration steps to prepare the database for publishing and scoring in SAS Model Manager have been moved to the SAS In-Database Products: Administrator's Guide.

Configurations for Report Options

The report options can be configured for the model retrain reports and dashboard reports using SAS Management Console.
