SAS® LASR Analytic Server 2.6

Reference Guide

Enables administrators to manage the SAS LASR Analytic Server, which is an analytic platform to provide a secure, multi-user environment for concurrent access to data that is loaded into memory. Programmers can perform analysis using the in-memory tables on the server. Data can be loaded from SAS tables or any data source that SAS can access. Performance is best when data is loaded from a co-located data provider like the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) or massively parallel processing databases like Teradata and Greenplum. The server’s administration can be performed using the LASR, IMSTAT, and VASMP procedures from a SAS session. The SAS LASR Analytic Server engine provides access to memory-resident data through a LIBNAME statement. Data can be added to HDFS with the SAS Data in HDFS engine.
