Overview of Exploring Data in Three Dimensions

This chapter describes how to use SAS/IML Studio to examine relationships among three variables.

You can explore the relationships among three variables by using a rotating scatter plot. Often the three variables are interval
variables.

If one of the variables can be modeled as a function of the other two variables, then you can add a response surface to the
rotating plot. Similarly, you can visualize contours of the response variable by using a contour plot.
