View a Link

In the SAS Information Delivery Portal, a link is any content that is accessible by using a universal resource locator (URL) address.
To view a link:
  1. Navigate to a collection portlet that contains a link. Links are identified by the icon icon of a link of chain.
Note: If your portal does not list the link that you want, then you can use the search tool to find it. You can also create the link and add it to your portal. For instructions, see Creating a New Link.
  2. Click the name of the link that you want to view.
The portal accesses the link's URL address and displays its content in the viewer.
  3. From the viewer, you can take the following actions:
    • To create a bookmark for the displayed link and place it in your Bookmarks portlet, click Bookmark in the toolbar. For more information, see About Bookmarks.
    • To create an e-mail that contains the link's URL address, click E-mail in the toolbar. For more information, see E-mail a Reference to Portal Content.
    • To publish the link's URL address to a publication channel or a WebDAV repository, click Publish in the viewer toolbar. For more information, see Publish Content.
    • If you accessed the content by using the portal's search feature, then to return to the search results, click Search in the banner. To return to the portal page that was displayed most recently, click Portal Page in the banner. (For best results, always use these links instead of the browser's Back button.)
