Overview of Editing a Syndication Channel

You can edit a syndication channel that you created previously. If you are designated as a content administrator, you can also edit a syndication channel that has been shared with the group.
You can use either of the following methods to edit a syndication channel:

Edit a Syndication Channel That Is Contained in a Collection Portlet

To edit a syndication channel that is contained in a collection portlet, follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to the page that contains a collection portlet with the syndication channel that you want to edit.
  2. In the portlet's title bar, click the Edit Content icon Edit content icon .
    Note: The icon is available only if you are authorized to edit the portlet. If the portlet is labeled Shared, then you can edit it only if you are a group content administrator for the respective group.
  3. In the Items box on the Edit Portlet Content page, click the syndication channel's name.
  4. Click the Edit icon edit icon to the right of the list box.
    Note: The Edit icon appears only if you are authorized to edit the syndication channel.
  5. On the Edit Syndication Channel page, make your changes to the name, description, URL, and keywords.
  6. If you are a group content administrator, you can also update the location (group) with which the syndication channel is shared. For more information, see Share an Application, Link, or Syndication Channel.
  7. When you are finished editing the syndication channel, click OK.
  8. Click OK on the Edit Portlet page.
    The portal page appears with the newly edited syndication channel.

Edit a Syndication Channel That is Listed in the Search Results

To edit a syndication channel that is listed in the search results, follow these steps:
  1. Use the search tool to find the syndication channel.
  2. When the syndication channel name appears on the search results page, click the action menu action menu in the first column, and select Edit.
  3. On the Edit Syndication Channel page, make your changes to the name, description, URL, and keywords.
  4. If you are a group content administrator, you can also update the location (group) with which the syndication channel is shared. For more information, see Share an Application, Link, or Syndication Channel.
  5. When you are finished editing the syndication channel, click OK.
