A WebDAV graph portlet creates and displays a line graph, bar
chart, or pie chart of data that is stored in a WebDAV repository.
If data
in the appropriate XML format is present in the WebDAV repository,
then you can create your own WebDAV graph portlets to meet your specific
requirements. You can specify the following:
-
the type of graph or chart that
is to be created (line graph, bar chart, or pie chart)
-
the size of the graph or chart
(small, medium, or large)
-
a title and a description
-
the variables that are to be included
in the graph or chart
-
a statistic that is to be calculated
-
a link to detailed backup information
Every
time you open a new portal session and display the portlet, the graph
or chart is re-created using the most recent version of the data source.
You can use the Refresh feature in your browser to update the graph
or chart if the data changes while you are still logged on.
After
you create a WebDAV portlet, you can edit it at any time. For example,
you can display a different graph or chart type, or you can display
a different set of variables.
In addition,
you can create multiple WebDAV graph portlets from the same source
data. For example, you might display a line plot and a pie chart from
the same data source; or you might want to create graphs and charts
with different variables or statistics from the same data source.
Before
you can create a WebDAV graph portlet, the source data must be present
in the WebDAV repository in the appropriate XML format. Generally,
an administrator or an application programmer creates the source data
and places it in the repository. For detailed instructions, see the
SAS Intelligence Platform: Web Application Administration Guide, which is available at
http://support.sas.com/92administration
.
After
the XML file has been created and placed in the WebDAV repository,
you can use these steps to specify the portlet:
-
-
Edit the
contents of the portlet by specifying the location of the XML file.
You can also specify the type of graph to be created, the variables
and statistics, and a link to detailed information.
