To specify
the properties for a pie chart viewer:

On the
menu bar for the viewer, click
Properties.

On the
Graph tab of the Properties dialog box, specify the
following options:
specifies a set of
predefined values for the appearance options.
specifies a set of
predefined values for the color options. If you change any of the
color options, or the Style option, the value
for Scheme changes to Custom
.
specifies the background
color for the chart. Click the drop-down list to open the color palette,
and then select a color.
specifies whether the
chart is displayed in two dimensions (2D)
or in three dimensions (3D).

On the
Pie tab, specify the following options:
specifies the appearance
of the segment labels.
For the category values
(
Category), response values (
Response), and percentage values (
Percent), specify the location for the label:
None |
disables the labels. |
Inside |
displays the labels inside of the pie segments. |
Outside |
displays the labels outside of the pie segments. |
Select the font and
font size from the drop-down lists. Click
to make the label bold, or click
to make the label italic. To change the font color,
click
and select a color.
specifies the appearance
of the group labels.
Select
Show labels to add labels that identify each pie. Select
the font and font size from the drop-down lists. Click
to make the label bold, or click
to make the label italic. To change the font color,
click
and select a color.
specifies the appearance
of the outlines around each pie segment.
Select
Show outline to add outlines. Select the thickness of
the outlines from the
Thickness drop-down
list. To change the outline color, click the drop-down list and select
a color.
specifies whether the
chart has an empty circle in the center.

On the
Legend tab, specify the following options:
specifies whether the
legend is displayed.
specifies the location
of the legend within the viewer.
specifies the appearance
of the background for the legend.
Select
Show background to add the background. To change the
background color, click the drop-down list and select a color.
specifies the appearance
of the border that is around the legend.
Select
Line to add the border. To change the border color,
click the drop-down list and select a color.
Select
Shadow to add a shadow below the legend. To change the
shadow color, click the drop-down list and select a color.

When you
have finished specifying the properties, click
OK to return to the main Visual Data Explorer page.
