Controls the class of messages to be written by the host sort utility.

SORTMSG | NOSORTMSG

SORTMSG: tells SAS to pass the MSG=AP parameter to the host sort utility.
NOSORTMSG: tells SAS to pass the MSG=CP parameter to the host sort utility, which means that only critical messages are written.
