What Is SAS Enterprise Guide Explorer?

SAS Enterprise Guide Explorer is an application for SAS administrators that serves as a resource manager for SAS Enterprise Guide. The resource definitions are stored in a metadata repository, thus enabling all users to access the same resources.

With SAS Enterprise Guide Explorer, you can perform the following tasks:

• manage profile definitions by specifying access information for metadata sources and setting an active profile

• create a shared profile definition that is accessed by all SAS Enterprise Guide users and can be automatically updated

• create metadata definitions for SAS libraries

• browse the contents of servers and libraries

• browse SAS folders and their contents
