What’s New in the DataFlux Data Management Studio Installation
and Configuration Guide
Overview
The June 2017 update
for DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.7 provided performance and
stability enhancements. Additional information and clarity was added
to the DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.7: Installation
and Configuration Guide to reflect some of those enhancements.
DataFlux Data Management
Studio has the following new installation and configuration enhancements:
New DAC Option
A new option, DAC/DISABLE_OLD_STYLE_FS_DSN,
was added to determine whether to use DataFlux Federation Server definitions
from the SAS Metadata Repository or use existing DNS files.
New Web Service Node Option
A new option, WEBSERVICE/REQUEST_TIMEOUT,
was added to specify the number of seconds that the Web
Service node should wait for a response from the web
service.
Renamed Files
The following files
were renamed:

Dfwfproc was renamed to batch.cfg.

Dfwsvc.cfg renamed to service.cfg.
-
Dfwfproc.log.xml renamed to batch.log.xml.
-
Dfwsvc.log.xml renamed to service.log.xml.
Changes to Nodes
The SAP
Remote Function Call node should be used only with the
SAP Unicode Libraries.
Updated Migration Instructions
With
the release of SAS Visual Process Orchestration 4.2, the migration
table in
Migrating to SAS 9.4 has been updated. Migration is still
manual.
Restriction on Saving Configuration Files
When editing a configuration
file, save it as an ASCII or UTF-8 file. If it is saved as a Unicode
file, the software can fail to start and will log this error message:
"Read failed due to missing file or possibly invalid content
in 'c:\path\file.cfg.'"
Configuration Options
Updated the format of
the configuration options and added several options.
