SAS® Data Loader 2.1 for Hadoop

Describes how to install and configure SAS Data Loader for Hadoop 2.1. The software combines a thin web client with in-database services that run on a Hadoop cluster. The web client executes inside a virtual machine known as a vApp. The vApp architecture enables customers to update the web client with a single click. The web client uses wizard interfaces known as directives to create jobs that run on the Hadoop cluster. The directives transform and profile source data in Hadoop without copying or moving that data. One directive also loads Hadoop data to a grid of SAS LASR Analytic Servers. The wizard interface enables customers to extract knowledge from Hadoop without requiring in-depth experience with Hadoop.
