Dashboard Objects and Dependencies

Dashboards consist of dashboard objects that might have dependencies on other dashboard objects. These dashboard objects are represented by .xml files that contain paths and object names. For SAS BI Dashboard 4.31, if you perform partial promotion of dashboard content from a development or test environment to a production environment, a knowledge of these dependencies helps you in planning the promotion. The following figure illustrates the dependencies between the dashboard objects and the XML file extensions for each type of dashboard object.
