Promotion Tools

There are two methods for promoting metadata content:

Partial promotion is used in an ongoing manner in support of project-level changes over time. The Export SAS Package and Import SAS Package wizards support partial promotion.
Full repository promotion is used to stage a baseline system or promote a wide-range of changes over an existing deployment on a scheduled basis. The SAS Replication Wizard supports full repository promotion.

Note: Full repository promotion between SAS 9.1.3 and SAS 9.2 is not supported.
