The procedures
in this section explain how to enable your SAS Data Integration Studio
users to access data on a host that is remote from the SAS Workspace
Server. This is done by installing
SAS/CONNECT software on the SAS
Workspace Server host and then configuring a
SAS/CONNECT server on
the remote host.
In order to access data on a
host that is remote from your SAS Workspace Server, you must run
SAS/CONNECT
software. Run
SAS/CONNECT on your SAS Workspace Server machine (the
local host), and on the machine with your data (the remote host).

In this network, we
have three machines:
