Enterprise and Single-Machine Configurations

SAS Enterprise Miner can be installed in a multi-tier client/server configuration, or the software can be installed in its entirety on a single host. Typical enterprise installations use SAS Enterprise Miner client software on desktop hosts. The desktop applications connect to the SAS Metadata Server through a SAS Analytics Platform server. As part of the SAS Analytics Platform, the SAS Enterprise Miner client software can be deployed to desktop hosts using Java Web Start.

In the Windows operating environment, the SAS Enterprise Miner server software is installed at SAS-configuration-directory\Lev1\AnalyticsPlatform. Client software is installed at SAS-installation-directory\SAS\SASAPcore\apps\EnterpriseMiner.

Enterprise Miner log files are stored in the directory SAS-installation-directory\SAS\SASAPcore\Logs\.

The configuration file for SAS Enterprise Miner is stored in the EnterpriseMiner subdirectory under the name app.config.
