Does SAS/ASSIST software look the same in all operating environments?
SAS/ASSIST software works the same in each operating environment. However, there may be differences in the appearance of SAS/ASSIST software among different operating environments. For example, if the operating environment you are using does not support icons, the WorkPlace menu appears with text that describes each item, but no icons are displayed. These differences do not affect the performance of SAS/ASSIST software.

Does SAS/ASSIST software run in all operating environments?
SAS/ASSIST software runs in the following operating environments:

• z/OS

• Microsoft Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP

• Linux on Intel

• Digital UNIX

• OpenVMS

• IA64

• AIX 64

• HP 64

• Solaris 64

Note:   This document documents SAS/ASSIST software as implemented in SAS 9.1, and shows displays captured under the UNIX and Microsoft Windows operating environments. If you use other releases of SAS/ASSIST software, or use a different operating environment, then some of the steps in this document may need to be adapted to the release of SAS/ASSIST software that you are using.
