Mixture Designs |
Mixture designs are a special class of experimental designs in which the factors are the relative amounts of components in a blend. For example, the factors might be the proportions of chemicals in a mixture for coating wafers in semiconductor manufacturing. Since the levels of the mixture components must sum to one (or 100%), both the design and the analysis of the experiment differ from the design and analysis of screening and response surface experiments.
