To use the
SAS/ACCESS to IMS
interface view engine, you must define special files that describe IMS databases and data to SAS. These
files are called
SAS/ACCESS descriptor files. This section uses
examples to show you how to create and edit descriptor files.
The examples in this
section are based on the
IMS database WireTrn. Complete information about the WireTrn database is provided later in this
section. From this database, the examples create an
access descriptor. Then, the examples create a
