The USER statement supplies a required CA-DATADICTIONARY user ID. The user ID is a
32-character
entity-occurrence name of a PERSON entity in CA-DATADICTIONARY, which is not necessarily the same as
the TSO ID.
The value entered in the USER statement is saved in the
access descriptor and in any
view descriptor created from the access descriptor. The user name and optional password must have
retrieval authority on six entity-types: DATABASE, FILE, RECORD, ELEMENT, KEY, and
FIELD.
If the user ID contains
special characters or national characters, enclose it in quotation
marks.
