README-ECRPM
		                ============

	SAS eLearning Downloadable Course Package (single zip file)
	-----------------------------------------------------------

This document will guide you through the installation process for accessing 
downloadable courses. 

Contents
--------
Included in the archive are top-level files and sub-directories.  
The directory structure must remain as is in order for the course to work 
properly.

Requirements
------------
Server:
A web server running on Windows Server 2003 or above
Winzip or a similar utility to extract the files onto your web server

Client: 
A client machine running on a Windows operating system
A supported web browser - IE 7 or greater or Firefox 3.0 or greater with Javascript,
  cookies, and pop-ups enabled
Adobe Flash Player 9 or later (for simulations and audio-based courses)
Screen resolution set to 1024x768 or higher

Installation
------------
For this installation, you will extract from a single zip file. You must install 
the course files in a location known to your web server.  Create a 
directory named ECRPM on the web server, then follow the steps below.
  

Server Setup
--------------
1. On the download page, click the Download button  
2. If using Winzip, select Extract.
3. On the Extract window, change the "Extract to" location to the appropriate 
   location on your web server.
4. Under the Files section, select the "ALL files/folders in archive" radio 
   button.
5. Check the "Use folder names" checkbox.
6. Click "Extract".

SCORM Implementation
--------------------
If you are not implementing this course in a SCORM environment, you can skip 
this section. Otherwise, follow these steps:

 . For SCORM 1.2 implementation: 
     delete the imsmanifest20043rd.xml and imsmanifest20044th.xml files in the 
     ECRPM folder.
 . For SCORM 2004 3rd edition implementation: 
     delete the imsmanifest.xml and the imsmanifest20044th.xml files in the 
     ECRPM folder and rename the imsmanifest20043rd.xml file to imsmanifest.xml.
 . For SCORM 2004 4th edition implementation: 
     delete the imsmanifest.xml and the imsmanifest20043rd.xml files in the 
     ECRPM folder and rename the imsmanifest20044th.xml file to imsmanifest.xml.
 . For a SABA LMS: edit the scormdriver.js file in the ECRPM folder. Change
   the line:
	var strLMSStandard = "AUTO";
   to this line:
	var strLMSStandard = "SCORM";

Accessing the course
--------------------
From a supported browser, type in the url to your web server location followed by
the course name and index.htm.

   For example:
      http://hostname:port/ECRPM/index.htm
