1. How this updater works
   
This updater checks to be sure that JMP 8 
is already installed.  the updater requires
that the JMP 8 application is in the 
/Applications folder where it was originally
installed.

The updaters for annual license and single 
user versions of JMP are different.  The 
updaters for 32-bit and 64-bit are 
different.  Be sure to use the correct one.   

Launch the updater by double clicking on 
the updater executable.

The updater will only work if you already 
have JMP installed and you are using the 
correct updater for your version of JMP.

2. Software changes made to your Macintosh 
   during the update
   
This update installer will search the 
Applications folder on your main boot drive
for a valid copy of JMP 8.
   
This updater will copy all needed files 
into the JMP 8 application bundle to update 
to the current release.
   
This updater will allow you to install
suppport files in Japanese, Simplified
Chinese, French, German and Italian.

This updater will also replace support files
(sample data tables, sample scripts and 
documentation) found at:

/Library/Application Support/JMP/8

/Library/Documentation/Applications/JMP/8


License files used in JMP will not be 
impacted by this updater and do not need to 
be changed.
