SAS/C^® Cross-Platform Software

for UNIX^® Platforms

Installation Instructions

Note:

You must already have SAS/C Cross-Platform Software, Release 6.50 installed, AND you must have previously installed the 6.50.02 updates before downloading and installing these enhancements! If you currently do not have SAS/C Cross-Platform Software, Release 6.50 installed but would like to order the software, please contact your local SAS Institute office.

1. Your updates are supplied as compressed tar images. Uncompress then copy the tar files to the updates subdirectory of your installation directory or location. For example,

      uncompress filename.tar.Z
      cp filename.tar /usr/local/sasc/updates/
   

2. The updates may be applied using the update utility which is located in your bin subdirectory of your installation location. The update utility applies maintenance to SAS/C Cross-Platform software. For more information on using the update utility, refer to the Installation Instructions for the SAS/C Cross-Platform Software for UNIX Environments.

New Enhancements for Update Release 6.50.04

New enhancements for update release 6.50.04 include:

• Support for template objects in an ar370 archive
