For some reason, I found myself really interested in this year's Olympics. Though I'm now a freshly minted fan of curling who can't wait to give snowboarding another try, for me, no sport captured the essence of the Games more than the men's hockey tournament that saw Canada beat the U.S. for gold.
As an American I'll admit I was a little disappointed we couldn't win that last game, but I think the right team won. For Canada, a nation that teaches the history of the sport in elementary school, hockey is so much a part of the culture that to win anything but the gold medal would have been devastating. (I don't think I'm exaggerating, considering 80% of Canada's population watched the final game.) It is nice to see that sort of dedication and commitment rewarded.
At SAS, we have a similar success story. In late January, SAS received the number 1 ranking in Fortune magazine's Best Companies to Work for in America. While it's nice to be recognized for our workplace culture, this is great news for our customers as well.
Last year, for example, SAS had a 2% turnover rate, meaning that expert instructor who delivers your training today will not only have years of experience teaching SAS, but will likely be here months from now when you have that critical question that needs to be answered. As an employer of choice, it also means we attract an impressive pool of highly talented individuals when a position does open up, meaning you have the best course developers, instructors, and training center coordinators working hard to give you a top-notch learning experience.
Now it's your turn to go for the gold. In this issue of SAS Training Report, you'll find out what courses are best for beginning SAS users, learn about our newest courses and hear from some of SAS' top experts in analytics.
Here's to seeing you in SAS class soon...and thanks for reading, eh?
