Announcing sasCommunity.org
During the Opening Session at SAS Global Forum 2007,
Conference Chair Robert Fecht introduced SASCommunity.org, a
new external, interactive Web site for SAS users.
This site is "of the users, by the users, and for the
users." It is owned and managed by the SAS Global Forum
Executive Board, who developed the vision, determined the kind
of functionality needed, and created the Web site's
organizational structure.
The features available on SASCommunity.org include:
- a wiki where users can share their knowledge of using
SAS software
- a consultant's (provider) registry implemented as wiki
pages
- a job registry
- archived video presentations
- a list of consultants and others providing services to
the SAS community
In addition, registered users can create their own home
pages and blogs. Presenters at SAS Global Forum (and other
user conferences) can upload supplemental materials for their
presentations. This Web site is an exciting development for
the SAS user community and enhances its ability to share and
grow knowledge of SAS software and its many uses. All SAS
users are welcome to participate in sasCommunity.org
