Eight new eBooks, SAS tips, and more

Dear Reader,

Sometimes I choose reading over sleeping. This risky behavior often results in a next day reading-hangover. However, I rarely regret getting caught up in a good book—or a discussion forum. When the content is captivating, it's worth the trade-off. As William Styron said "A great book should leave you with many experiences, and slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading."

There's a lot to experience in this month's SAS Book Report. You'll learn about our latest business book Too Big to Ignore: The Business Case for Big Data, eight new eBooks, a free upcoming webinar on SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS tips, an invitation for SAS/ETS users, and more.

As you read through this issue, keep in mind these words from Dr. Seuss, "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."

Have a great month,

Shelly Goodin
Editor, SAS Book Report

Want to write a book about SAS/ETS?

By Shelley Sessoms

SAS/ETS 12.1 introduces many new estimation features, including Bayesian options, new variable selection methods, a new data access engine, and many enhancements to existing procedures. SAS/ETS has also developed p-values based on accurate high-performance simulation methods for many popular test statistics in the AUTOREG and PANEL procedures.

If you have experience using SAS/ETS and want to help your fellow SAS users with case studies and best practices, then let's talk about you becoming the next SAS Press Author!
