New books and upcoming activities at SAS® Global Forum

Dear Reader,

When March arrives, William Shakespeare's famous quote from "Julius Caesar," "Beware the ides of March," easily comes to mind. Or any number of literary quotations about turbulent wind and unpredictability. While there is truth to Mother Nature shaking things up, there are other events that March is famous for. In North Carolina (and throughout much of the U.S.), March Madness holds college basketball fans captive for a few weeks as top teams battle it out for the national championship. There's also St. Patrick's Day, of course, and even a lesser-known National Panic Day.

This month's issue of SAS® Publishing News lives up to March's diverse reputation, covering a whirlwind of new offerings and activities. Here are some highlights:

  • four exciting new books
  • a preview of SAS Publishing promotions, authors, and activities taking place at SAS® Global Forum
  • SAS authors' tips
  • a special section on eBooks
  • an interview with an intriguing SAS senior technical editor
  • author recruitment opportunity on the topic of reliability analysis in JMP®

I hope that you enjoy this issue of SPN and that your month is as stirring as this excerpt from Alfred Lord Tennyson's poem, "Conclusion":

"All in the wild March-morning I heard the angels call;
It was when the moon was setting, and the dark was over all;
The trees began to whisper, and the wind began to roll,
And in the wild March-morning I heard them call my soul.”

See you next month,
