SAS® 9.3 syntax index

Dear Reader,

Do you remember giving book reports in front of your classmates? While I've always loved reading, I dreaded speaking in class, and my hand was the last to go up when teachers asked for volunteers. Yet, once I (finally) began my oral report, I found that the words flowed.

Next month, you'll see the beginning of a new type of book report. We are renaming SAS® Publishing News to the SAS® Book Report (SBR). The newsletter will continue to feature the latest updates about our books, product documentation, events, special offers, and more. And you're not tasked with changing anything to continue receiving it.

This month, I would like to invite you to take a look at several stand-out articles:

  • Sandy Varner's update on the new and very popular SAS® 9.3 syntax index
  • an announcement about three award-winning SAS® Press books
  • a list of seven books to get you started with JMP® 10 SAS tips
  • an author recruitment opportunity to write about drug development best practices

I hope that you enjoy this issue and look forward to reporting on our latest news next month—in the SAS Book Report.

Thank you, as always, for reading.

See you in July,

Shelly Goodin

Updates for Aspiring Authors

Share Your Drug Development Best Practices

by Shelley Sessoms

It's something that's important to almost every human being: drug development. But it's doubly important for those who work in the pharmaceutical industry: their lives depend on it, but so does their livelihood.

SAS Press is looking for books that discuss best practices, guidelines, and examples around SAS Drug Development.  The solution streamlines processes, reduces costs, and speeds time-to-market. We want to help SAS customers better understand the solution and how to use it for maximum benefit. If you’re interested in writing about your use of SAS drug development, let us know.

The book proposal process couldn’t be easier, and I’d love to help you put your ideas into a useful and meaningful book.  Contact me today.
