Award-winning SAS books
Dear Reader,
The awards season for 2011 movies and television is underway. A few nights ago, Ricky Gervais hosted the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's Golden Globes Awards. As expected, the evening was punctuated by laughs, gaffes, and an endless commentary on evening gowns. If one peers through the glittery production, it's gratifying to see that actual artistic achievements are being honored (including good writing, directing, and editing).
There are no Golden Globes or Academy Awards counterparts for "Best Book" or "Best-Dressed Author." However, there is no shortage of prestigious book awards. And rightfully so. If you're reading this newsletter, chances are that books play an important part in your life, too.
While I can't create a full-blown production (this month) paying tribute to SAS Publishing's many outstanding authors, books, and editors, here's the highlight reel of what you'll find in this issue:
- an announcement about three SAS books that just won STC (Society for Technical Communication, an international association) awards
- exciting new book sets, including one featuring Ron Cody's work
- a way for SAS programmers to find their most-used documents
- SAS® Certification Prep Guides in Apple’s iBookstore
- the always popular SAS tips
- an extraordinary SAS Press editor
And lots more!
Thank you for taking the time to read this issue of SPN. Your support and interest in our program, offerings, and this newsletter make all of us feel like winners here.
See you next month,
Shelly Goodin
