On track with books and future plans

Dear Reader,

Sometimes, the end of the year appears like a runaway freight train—toppling over with holiday decorations, obligations, and pesky unmet goals. Perspective, patience, and a bit of good cheer can help. While we regrettably can't enjoy a cup of hot cocoa together, I'd like to celebrate you (our readers). Your interest in SAS books and documentation means a great deal to all of us, and we greatly appreciate you. Thank you for subscribing to the SAS Book Report.

Here are a few more highlights in this final issue of 2012:

  • Nine new books, including lots of SAS documentation
  • Kathy Council's plans for expanding the number of SAS eBooks in 2013
  • SAS tips
  • An interview with a legendary marketing manager
  • An opportunity to suggest topics for future books

May the end of 2012 be joyful, stress-free, and rewarding for you!

See you in January,

Shelly Goodin

Updates for Aspiring Authors

Want to See your Name in Lights?

Or, at least, on a list?

By Shelley Sessoms

We've been busy this year producing books for SAS users. Take a look at our Upcoming Titles list. These are just a few of the titles we have going right now.

You've seen me promote specific topics throughout the year. Now is your chance to tell me where your experience lies, and what knowledge you can share with the rest of the SAS community. Send me a note telling me about your idea for a SAS Press book. I'll follow up with everyone, and we'll see how your idea might fit in our library. For those who make it through the proposal process, you just might see your name on this list during next year's wrap up!
