globeSAS® Base Certification review/exam combo offered in Italy and France
SAS Italy and SAS France are now offering certification preparation training followed by a certification exam in order to simplify the process for customers.

“The idea to combine the SAS Base Programming review course with the exam came from some similar events that we ran last year at customer sites,” explains SAS Italy Education Manager Marco Villa. SAS Italy will offer the review and exam combination to the public for the first time this May. “Our customers were asking how they could more quickly qualify their personnel for certification, so we decided to simplify the process.” The intensive, three-day review course is strong and focused, says Villa, and students are well-prepared to sit for the exam immediately upon completion.

SAS France supports a similar approach, although their clients have requested a two-week gap between training and exam dates, allowing extra time for preparation. SAS France is offering both the Base and Advanced Programming Exams in this manner.

laptopSAS UK offers Live Web certification tutorials
SAS UK is now offering Live Web certification tutorials, a two-hour period where delegates will be able to ask a tutor questions that are related to the certification exams, in real time from the comfort of their desktops.

This tutorial is for SAS programmers who are preparing to sit the SAS Certified Advanced and Base Programmer exams. Prior to attendance, delegates will be asked to define a list of topics they wish to review, which the tutor will then cover during the tutorial. Additional quizzes, case studies and questions will be available for solo practice during the event with the tutor responding to individual questions when possible.

“As a hiring manager for Quintiles, a global contract research organization, one of the most important credentials I look for when reviewing résumés is the SAS Certification. Based on my experience, candidates who are SAS Certified are more analytical and are likely to possess stronger SAS programming and debugging skills. In addition, I have increased confidence in these types of candidates who will generally be more productive.”
