Design Your Own Hash Objects Book
During the past few months, we've heard from several of you saying that you want SAS Press to publish a book on hash objects. Here's the good news . . . we've listened! We've found an author who
is interested in this topic, and now we want your thoughts on the content of the book.
If you could design a book about hash objects, what would it contain? We've included a few ideas of our own. What other topics would you like to see? Email us your ideas.
- Merging data without sorting
- Using more than one hash object in a program to merge data
- SQL-like joins in the DATA step with a hash object
- Description of hash object internals, to help describe where speed improvement comes from
- Using an index and a hash together
- Aggregating character values
