head's or other administrator's signature be provided to us as proof of your affiliation. A copy of a student transcript with the current semester and/or
a student id with expiration date and/or staff ID are also accepted. We reserve the right to ask for additional information if needed for verification.

A: Each exam challenges candidates to apply specific knowledge they have acquired through SAS software training and/or job experience. Computer-based in
format, SAS Global certification exams are comprised of approximately 60 to 70 multiple-choice and/or short-answer questions, depending on the exam. Exams
are generally scheduled through Pearson VUE but are also held at various locations throughout the globe on a prescheduled basis. Candidates are allotted varying time limits
to complete the exam, depending on which exam is taken. Specific exam content and passing criteria are located
within
each exam. To assure your feedback, SAS Global Certification exams include a feature that allows candidates to comment on specific test questions.
Your opinions are important to us and are a critical component in test development.
Additionally, SAS Global Certification requires candidates to accept the terms of the
SAS Institute Inc. Certification Program
Agreement before taking a certification exam.

A: Within North America and India, the current fee associated with each exam attempt is $180 USD, except for the Predictive Modeling exam. The Predictive Modeling Using SAS Enterprise
Miner exam fee is $250 USD and is only offered through SAS.

A: The SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 credential is a prerequisite to obtaining the SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9 credential.
If you do not hold a SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 credential prior to taking and passing the SAS Advanced Programming for SAS 9 exam, the SAS
Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9 credential will not be awarded until the prerequisite has been met.
A: Please allow 1 week after achieving your credential for your name to be added to the registry. If your name is not appearing on the registry, you may choose to be added by updating
your personal information within your account in the
SAS Certification
Records Management system.
A: You will need to contact Pearson VUE, our testing administrator. Pearson VUE verifies all candidate information based on the identification
provided when registering for an exam. To ensure the security of your personal account, candidates will be required to provide legal documentation to validate
your name change. Acceptable items of documentation must show the current name as well as the new name.
A: To update your demographic information you will be able to access
SAS Certification Records Management and update your information.
This change will be effective within 24 hours.
A: Candidates may attempt each certification exam up to five (5) times in a 12-month period, waiting a minimum of 14 days between attempts. Exam
charges are incurred for each exam attempt. Exams that do not comply with this retake policy will be considered invalid and will not be eligible for refund
and/or a certification credential. Once a passing score is achieved on a specific exam, no further attempts are allowed on that exam.
A: After you earn a SAS Credential, your certificate will be available on the
SAS Certification Records Management system. Candidates receive an e-mail containing information on accessing this system. If you have not received your e-mail within
one week from the date you earned your SAS credential, please contact us at
certification@sas.com.

your certificate can be accessed on the left navigation bar under "Printable Documents." To print your certificate, your pop-up blocker should be disabled before clicking the "Print Now" button.

A: The SAS Global Certification Program now issues versioned credentials that do not expire. For example, if you earn the SAS Certified Base
Programmer for SAS 9 credential, you will retain this credential and it will not expire. Please note: Some exams may retire as new software is developed
and/or enhanced.
In previously released exams, there were some non-versioned SAS credentials that had a 3-year expiration date. We no longer offer non-versioned
credentials. All SAS credentials that were non-versioned have expired. These include
